Set against the historic charm of Old City, Philadelphia, our inaugural shoot captures the intersection of classic and modern influences. Inspired by vintage elegance, infused with contemporary cool, while grounded in themes of love, connection, and expression, this campaign is a testament to Elysian’s philosophy: ethical, elevated & elegant style that lasts.

The Sage Green and Lavender Dress: A Symbol of Resilience

At the heart of our inaugural photoshoot, A Moment That Lasts Forever, is a sage green and lavender dress—a poignant symbol of women’s empowerment and resilience.

Crafted in the 1970s, this dress reflects an era when women faced systemic barriers to freedom, respect, and financial autonomy. Today, as a young woman in 2025, I honor their journey, their sacrifices and their unwavering dedication as they paved the way for the privilege I now hold: the ability to build a business on my own terms. This connection is both a tribute to their efforts and a reminder of the autonomy that must still be protected.

The decision to use this dress as our debut look came promptly at 12 in the afternoon one Saturday this past September. My grandparents and I were browsing through the vintage stores along the Delaware coast line, curiously but also lackadaisically, shuffling through the looks of yesteryear. I rattled on about what it would be like to have my own styling business and what I'd do with it.

As my Grandmother and I fawned over a Sweet-Heart Dress that was the color of the sun, my Grandfather, Alan, cleared his throat. Like a soldier in the night he quietly lifted the dress from a mound of clothes and handed it to me, gently. A man who hates shopping found the dress that started Elysian.

I bought it 5 minutes later.

This dress has traveled through time, linking three women who have never met but are bound by a shared experience of growth and change. These three women? The one who started it all, lost in time, but found through style, Sonya of Jayne's Reliable, the original curator of this dress and now, me - Vienna Zerbe and owner of Elysian.

Its conservative elegance, once a social expectation, is now a statement of individuality and sustainability. By wearing it in 2025, I honor its history while forging my own entrepreneurial path and taking a step towards a more sustainable future while simultaneously marketing this dress within the frame of modern values. This dress reminds us that fashion is not disposable; it evolves with us, reflecting our journeys and shaping our identities. It's deeper than clothes, it always has been.

Old World Charm with Contemporary Cool

Chiku’s look merges the formality of past decades with modern adaptability, demonstrating how timeless fashion transcends trends. His outfit strikes a balance between minimalism and boldness, with a casually open collar taking center stage against earthy under layers and vintage golden accents.

This fusion creates a seamless transition from structured elegance to effortless cool—a testament to the idea that clothing should be both functional and expressive.

Chiku’s styling celebrates personal identity over fast fashion’s fleeting trends. Every piece he wears is intentionally chosen to authentically enhance his presence. Too often, fashion forces conformity, pushing rapid cycles of consumption.

Old City was the perfect setting for this shoot, mirroring the campaign’s blend of historical reverence and modern vibrancy. With its cobblestone streets, classic architecture, and a thriving creative scene, this neighborhood embodies the essence of our styling philosophy—where classic charm and contemporary influences coexist beautifully.

Just as Old City preserves its roots while embracing evolution, our campaign honors the enduring relevance of style that stands the test of time. Fashion should not erase the past; it should carry it forward, reimagined for new generations.
